Hi I'm Paul Kenny a father a grandfather & a proud Kilkenny man on behalf of myself and my fellow Kilkenny drivers I want to welcome you to the Kilkenny Tours page, Kilkenny is my hometown and I have been driving a taxi & showing visitors the best of Kilkenny for over 20 years. Kilkenny is not just an Irish city its story is at the heart of the story of the British empire, the Butler family were instrumental in many palace intrigues involving the Tudors & the Stuarts Elizabeth 1 only made it to the throne because of the protection of the Butler Family while Farney Castle was part of the Dowry given to Henry 8th. 

The Butlers Tour

A tour of all the important Butler sites from Kilkenny castle to St.Canices cathedral and the Black Abbey 

The Castles tour

This tour takes you out of Kilkenny but stays with the Butler story starting with a visit to the Swiss cottage & Cahir Castle one of the filming locations for BraveHeart and another branch of the Butler family. The Rock Of Cashel and our last stop of the day Farney castle  

The Crystal City tour

Leaving Kilkenny our first stop is the House of Waterford Crystal. then on to Tramore with an option to explore the Lafcadio Hearn Japanese Gardens and lunch then we take a scenic drive along the Copper coast before turning back towards Waterford for our final stop of the day Jerpoint Abbey where St.Nicholas (Santa Claus is buried) then its back to Kilkenny.

The Crystal & Hook Lighthouse tour

Starting the day with a short ferry ride across the river Suir to county Wexford & Hook Lighthouse the oldest operational lighthouse in the world. on leaving Hook lighthouse we travel back towards New Ross with an option of a visit to the Kennedy homestead Home to 5 generations of the Kennedy dynasty, with Irish-American history exhibits & memorabilia or a visit to the Dunbrody Famine ship docked in New Ross. The last stop of the day is Jerpoint Abbey.
