Our guest's feedback
Dear Janice,
Please give Jim a big "THANK YOU" from us for the absolutely perfect tour he gave us of the south(west) coast along the Wild Atlantic Way in August 2016. The day spent with him was truly the highlight and the very best day of our holiday in Ireland. Jim was so knowledgeable and imparted Irish history and local lore which made that area of Ireland (Counties Cork and Kerry) come alive for us. He was also a kind and friendly person to share time with. I also appreciate how much Jim loved dogs!
Among other places, we would never have seen places like the memorial to the 9/11 victims, Glandore, the Kenmare Stone Circle, Glengarriff or the Black Valley if it were not for Jim. Mike and I especially loved the Black Valley. It was gorgeous!
And, most importantly for us, Jim took us to the Skibbereen Heritage Centre where we were able to learn more info. from Margaret about Mike's Irish heritage. Jim, thank you for being patient in traveling along the country roads until we found Glanaphocka (or Glounaphooka) and the Caheragh Old Cemetery. It meant a great deal to us to actually walk the ground where Mike's great-grandfather and grandfather were born and lived. That was awesome!
We did not have time for Mizen Head since we spent so much time in searching the family tree so we will plan to visit next time.
I also want to thank you, Janice, for putting us in touch with Margaret at the Skibbereen Heritage Centre. She has been a wonderful resource in helping us put together the pieces of Mike's family background.
We will sing the praises of About Cork Taxi Tours to our friends and family and, hopefully, you will get some business in the future through our recommendations. We cannot wait to return to Ireland. You have a very beautiful and welcoming country.
With warmest wishes, Michele and Mike – August 2016
Janice,
It was so nice to finally meet you after all the emails over the past few months. Our tour with Jim was everything we expected and more. When I mentioned I was looking to buy a sweater Jim took us to the perfect shop in Kinsale. The shop owners were delightful. We left with our wallets lighter and big smiles on our faces! Jim was knowledgeable, personable, and a wonderful guide. We thoroughly enjoyed our day with him. If we should hear of anyone visiting the Cork area (or if we should return )we will certainly recommend contacting you. Thank you for all your help.

Hi Bob and Janice,
Thank you so very much for going above and beyond the call of service. We just picked up our mail at the Maldron. Howie got to the Dublin shop earlier today, so he's a happy, happy man! Thank you again for the wonderful tour. You'll come highly recommended in our eyes!
Have a great weekend!

Janice, we LOVED Audrey! She was most accommodating & informative. She took us to places buses wouldn't go to & got us in and out of Blarney Castle before the crowds. I am in a wheelchair & she pushed me up and down gravel paths so hubby could take photos & was so warm and wonderful. I DID want to take her with us like you said. She certainly made our visit to Cork and Kinsale a highlight of our trip. Joy Mayo May 22nd, 2016
Janice and Bob-
We are beyond grateful for our wonderful day in Cork. Bob took us to places that we absolutely loved and enjoyed. Our day in Cork was most special because of your efforts. Our photo memories are already priceless.
We will most definitely write a wonderful review for you after we return home-- just give us a few weeks. I'll also post photos on your Facebook page. Thank you for everything..
Truly- our day was spectacular.

Hi Janice and Bob,
I would like to thank you for the wonderful tour we had with Bob. It was well organised and timely managed. Bob was very informative and great. We really enjoyed it. Will definitely post a review on Tripadvisor once I’m back home.
This trip made us think whether it’s time that we immigrate to Ireland

Just a note to say that we just got home today from our adventure to Europe and one of the highlights was the Cork tour that you arranged for us and Liam was our driver.... We truly enjoyed the tour as well as we loved your country and we just wanted to let you know that it was excellent.
Thanks

Charming! Charming! Places!! Thank you so very much for your honest and interesting narrative throughout the day.
We thoroughly enjoyed you, the area, and everything you told us of the history here and of Ireland in general, through the centuries. July 2015
I was surprised how quickly you searched for and found my cousins and their farm where my grandfather grew up and then arranged a visit with them on our tour. I would hope to return to Ireland again and would definitely arrange a tour with you again.
This is a picture of our family visit.
Thanks so much.

Dear Robert and Janice,
David and I have just caught our breathe after returning from our recent cruise and trip to Europe.
I wanted to write to let you now what great day we had with Jim on our day in Cork on Sunday 14 June.
He was the most thoughtful of drivers. He took us to lovely spots and even to see where one of my ancestors had lived.
We really enjoyed the day.
Blarney Castle was a big surprise. On the internet is is all about kissing the stone but the gardens were magnificent and if we had known we would have skipped the walking tour…although very informative about the history a bit long, to spend longer at the gardens. Kinsale was a pretty place and worth visiting and the Charles Fort very interesting.
Anyway we did enjoy every part of the day.
Please give our regards to Jim and pass on our appreciation.
Kind regards and best wishes,
Susan and David Marquet
Hi Bob!
Dear Bob, We've been back in good ole' sunny California for a week now. The jet lag, unpacking, laundry, and daily routine are finally back to normal. Just wanted to drop you a line to "thank you" for an outstanding tour of Cork and the surrounding area. You did a wonderful job of showing us quite a variety of places and Irish scenery. I'll be sure to recommend you to any cruiser I come across that will be stopping at this port. Thanks again, Diane
